Terms of Service
By using IVY you agree to these terms. They’re written to be readable. If something is unclear, email support@ivy-writer.com.
What IVY is
IVY is a writing tool for newsletter creators. It helps you write, branch, and publish. The service is provided as described; features may change over time with reasonable notice.
Your account
You need an email address to use IVY. You’re responsible for keeping your account secure. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account (or the minimum age required in your country if higher).
Your content
Everything you write in IVY is yours. We don’t claim ownership of your drafts, sections, or seeds. You grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the service.
You’re responsible for what you write. Don’t use IVY to create content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others’ rights.
Plans and billing
Seedling (free)
Free forever. No credit card required. Includes unlimited issues and cadence tracking. AI features are not included.
Vine (paid)
A monthly subscription that includes AI branching and priority support. Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Plan & Billing.
Trials
When a free trial is offered, your card is not charged until the trial period ends. You can cancel before the trial ends without being charged.
Taxes
Prices shown may be subject to applicable local taxes (e.g. VAT in the EU, GST in Australia). Tax will be calculated and shown at checkout where applicable.
Price changes
If we change Vine pricing, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before the change takes effect for existing subscribers.
AI features
AI features are powered by Anthropic’s Claude. AI-generated content is a suggestion — always review it before publishing. We are not responsible for the accuracy or quality of AI output.
Vine includes 200 AI calls per month. Unused calls do not roll over. The limit resets on the 1st of each month.
Availability
We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We may carry out maintenance with or without prior notice. We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your account without cause, we’ll refund any unused subscription time.
Limitation of liability
IVY is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of IVY. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Dispute resolution
We’d rather resolve issues directly — email us first. If you are an EU consumer, you may use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights in your country.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory local consumer law provides stronger protections — in which case those protections apply to you in addition.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email with at least 14 days’ notice. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
